Clean-up Day

Today started the big clean-up from the storm (Blackout 2008). Much of the neighborhood (and the city) are still without power. This meant many exciting things to watch around the neighborhood. It's not every day a girl gets a backhoe in her front yard and mommy home on a weekday!

Genevieve's questions about the storm continued - "why did Aunt Ceci's house have a hurri-game that was the same as our house?" She also wondered if it was the same storm that filled Grandma's house in New Orleans (Katrina) and that's why her house now has wheels. She also asked if Grandma was driving her house today.

Because we can (yes, gloating about the power in our home), Gigi got to watch a movie. When daddy suggested she relax, she assumed the posture - reclined with hands behind her head; wearing a scratchy tutu.
